ENGAGING LANDSCAPE CONNECTS MODERN HOME TO NEIGHBORHOOD HIGHLAND PARK, IL

An overgrown landscape and a hidden lannon stone wall isolated this modern gem from the neighborhood. A home with active teens, the client wanted a curb appeal that said, "Welcome." By clearing out the overgrowth and cutting through the stone wall, I was able to geometric entry walk that draws the eye and the guest straight to the front door. New plantings of native perennials and grasses aligned in sweeping arcs make a statement that also softens the mass of the home. In the words of a neighbor: "I had no idea this house was so beautiful."
